Trashanjali
A story of hypocrisy in Bangalore, famously know as the garden city. People living in Bangalore have a habit of throwing garbage on the streets, or at someones wall, or literally whereever there is an empty space.
To prevent this the owners of the houses and the shops hang pictures of God and Goddesses on the outside wall. Regardless of this, people still throw garbage right there, on the very same walls. It is pretty ironic, since the same people offer flowers (pushpanjali) and food to the same Gods in the temple. I represented this in a satirical manner, showing how God would be feeling about all the ‘offerings’ he gets: in the temples and on the streets. The offering of garbage- “trashanjali”. Trashanjali
